Welcome to Mom Works

A space for working moms who want more.

If you're a working mom, chances are you’ve spent some time feeling like you need more but you don’t have time or space to name those needs or ensure they happen.

You’re managing so many tasks- some that feel invisible until they’re not done. You’re holding space for your family, career, and friendships. You’re doing your best. But underneath the busyness and to-dos is the question:
“When is it my turn to the priority?”

We built this space to answer that.

Why We Started This Work

Hey! We’re Erica & Maxine, licensed therapists, workplace wellness experts, and moms.

We’ve lived inside the overwhelm. We’ve spent some time navigating the mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion that comes with trying to keep up in a world that wasn’t built for the number of roles we actually embody. For the demands on our time and the multitasking required to feel at ease with how we are showing up.

We hold a unique position, being both workplace wellness specialists and working moms ourselves. In our work and our experience, we’ve seen the impact that career can have on the mental health of moms. We’ve also seen how that impact shifts as our motherhood seasons change, as our needs change.

After working with women who have expressed burnout, feeling stuck, and/or overwhelmed, we know it’s necessary to prioritize your voice. When it comes to caring for self while in working motherhood, we realized: we don’t only need tools- we need to be intentional about creating and nurturing a brand new relationship with ourselves. One we haven’t had before, because we’ve never been this version of ourselves before.

That’s what this space at Mom Works is for.

What You’ll Find Here

This organization is a home base for women (especially working moms in the thick of it) who want to:

  • Reconnect with their identities, bodies and nervous systems

  • Feel more emotionally regulated, less reactive, and more grounded

  • Learn mom-friendly routines, mind-body practices, and self-care that actually work

  • Unlearn guilt and shame and reconnect with self-love, confidence and authenticity

We offer a mix of mental health education, relatable personal reflection, and trauma-informed guidance. Everything we create is rooted in compassion, evidenced-based research, and our lived experiences.

Common Questions We Get (That We’ll Be Answering More Deeply Soon)

“Do I have ADHD, or am I just overwhelmed?”
You're not imagining your struggle. The overlap between ADHD and stress, trauma, or motherhood is real— and we’ll be unpacking the differences (and similarities) soon.

“What does mind-body healing actually look like?”
It looks like checking in with yourself instead of checking out. Like using your body as a resource, not a battleground. Like practicing slower, gentler routines that help you feel safe inside yourself.

“How do I stop feeling like I’m not excelling in anything?”
You are not failing— you’re likely unsupported, dysregulated, and exhausted. We’ll explore how shame shows up in women (specifically in motherhood) and how to rewrite your internal narrative.

“What’s the first step to feeling like myself again?”
Start with slowing down. Start with listening. Start with intentional self-compassion. This is something we can work on together.

A Note from Mom Works to You

Whether you have specific experience and a clinical diagnosis or you’re newly beginning to ask questions about how your brain and body work- this is a space for you. We’re here to help you get curious about who you are beneath the disconnect and to start showing up for yourself in a deeper, kinder way.

Let’s unlearn the noise. Let’s build a life that feels good. Let’s get started.

With care,
Maxine & Erica
