The Mom Works Story

We believe that prioritizing mental wellness shouldn't only feel accessible after everything else is done. It should feel part of your routine- grounded and rooted in the movement of your daily life.

Mom Works was born from our lived experience- the overwhelm, the mental load, the multi-role responsibility. The toggling between career demands, caregiving, and the voice inside asking, "What about me?". And our recognition that the right support makes all the difference.

We (Co-Founders, Erica & Maxine), are licensed mental health professionals, mothers, and workplace wellness experts who see a deep need:

Support that actually understands working moms. Not just planning and logistics- but regulating the nervous system, connecting to identity, managing emotional exhaustion, and the desire for contentment.

That’s why we created this space- to offer practical, compassionate, evidence-informed care, rooted in real mental health practices, for the modern working mom. Not to make you more efficient. Not to make you more productive. But to help you feel more like herself again.

A space created by working moms, for working moms.

 Mom Works Mission

We exist to help working moms regulate their nervous systems, reconnect with themselves, and reclaim their sense of wholeness- without guilt, shame, perfectionism, or burnout.

We offer tools, practices, and community that are:

  • Clear and guided, minimizing overwhelm

  • Rooted in the mind-body connection

  • Designed for real women, with real lives

You deserve support that sees all of you: the woman, the provider, the mother, the human.

Values

What We Stand For

Our work is guided by a deep belief in the power of care- care for the self and care for the systems working moms live within.

Here’s what shapes everything we do:

Compassion Over Perfection

We believe you deserve support and you do not need to do everything perfectly to receive it. We meet you with empathy, not expectations.

Mental Health Is Foundational

Emotional wellbeing is not a luxury- it’s essential. We’re here to help you tend to your mental health the same way you would any other vital part of your life: with intention, care, and guided support.

Rooted in Realness

This is a shame-free space. We don’t believe in “shoulds,” hustle culture, or toxic positivity. We believe in showing up as we are, telling the truth, and making room for what we need.

Wholeness Is the Goal

We honor the whole you. Your mind, body, emotions, values, and dreams. Our work supports your full humanity, not just your productivity.

Support Should Fit Your Life

We disagree with the idea that healing has to wait until things “slow down.” Our resources are designed for working moms who live a full and busy life. We encourage building wellness into your routine.

Equity & Inclusivity

We are committed to creating an inclusive space where all moms feel seen, respected, and supported. If you identify as a working mom, our resources and supports are here for you.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

  • Maxine

Co-Founder, MSW, LCSW-C, RYT, Neurodivergent Specialist

I’m an ADHD, type C style, mom of two who is focused on raising authentic, and community minded kids. I believe that mothers should be supported in their pursuit of career by their organizations and the policies that shape their practices.

  • Erica

Co-Founder, MSW, LCSW-C, CEAP, Leadership Specialist

I am a mom of one who has a tendency to lean more Type A, passionate about nurturing a child’s intrinsic worth and self-driven motivation. I believe in raising kids who are confident from the inside out. I also believe workplaces should embrace flexibility and recognize motherhood not as a limitation, but as a powerful asset that builds resilience, empathy, and leadership.
