Licensed therapist for women in marylandErica Guiton
MSW, LCSW-C, CEAP, PMH-C
Areas of expertiseMany high-achieving women move through life carrying an invisible weight, the constant pressure to excel, the fear of falling short, and the exhaustion that comes from always being the one who “has it together.” I love supporting women who feel overwhelmed by expectations, struggle with self-compassion, and find it hard to slow down.
In our work together, therapy becomes a space to pause and breathe. To understand the patterns that keep you stuck in doing mode and rediscover how to feel grounded, balanced, and connected to yourself. My goal is to help you shift from striving for perfection to living with authenticity, ease, and purpose.
❋ Professional, Career, Workplace StressWork-related stress, burnout, and perfectionism can impact both professional performance and personal fulfillment. Therapy can help you identify patterns that contribute to overwhelm, build resilience, and develop strategies for maintaining balance and well-being at work. Together, we focus on fostering confidence, clarity, and sustainable growth in your professional life.
❋ Perfectionism/High ExpectationsI work with those who feel like “never enough,” to offer a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your humanity. Together, we’ll explore where your perfectionism comes from and learn new ways to find worth, peace, and confidence beyond constant striving.
❋ Pregnancy & PostpartumThe perinatal period can bring a wide range of emotions and experiences… from joy and connection to anxiety, grief, or identity shifts. I will provide a supportive space to help you navigate these changes, process challenges, and strengthen emotional well-being during pregnancy and after birth. My goal is to help you feel grounded, supported, and confident as you adjust to this new chapter.
❋ Executive / Leader Life BalanceI specialize in working with high-achieving, perfectionistic women and those in leadership roles who are balancing ambition with well-being.
Work with Me
I specialize in supporting high-achieving, perfectionist women who often feel weighed down by high expectations, lack of self-compassion, and overwhelm. Using solution-focused and somatic-based strategies, I help you navigate the connection between mind and body to find relief and greater nourishment to all parts of yourself. Together, we’ll work to address the cycles that keep you stuck in “doing” mode, explore how to respond rather than react, and support you in feeling more connected to the different parts of yourself.
Many of the women I work with already have strong self-awareness and “all the answers,” but still feel stuck, disconnected, or unable to move forward in a way that feels sustainable. Together, we’ll move beyond over-intellectualizing and focus on practices that ground you in the present moment. You’ll learn how to meet yourself not where you think you should be, but where you actually are. This work is about cultivating compassion so you can feel more whole, responsive, and balanced in your daily life.
I support women navigating career stress/leadership roles, transitions such as pregnancy and postpartum, parenting pressures, and the ongoing challenge of balancing achievement with self-care. My approach emphasizes somatic awareness, practical strategies, and self-compassion to help you step off the treadmill of constant doing and feel more deeply connected to yourself.
I help you to feel more grounded, present, and at ease.Therapy with Erica-
