Practice Policies

Welcome! These policies help us provide safe, effective care. Please review before your first appointment. If you have questions, contact our office.

Appointments & Session Length

Standard sessions: 45 minutes (individual) or 50 minutes (couples, as agreed). Extended/intensive sessions may be available by arrangement.

Please arrive on time as late arrivals shorten session time.

Intake & Assessment

All new clients complete an intake questionnaire and informed-consent forms before the first session.

The therapist will conduct an assessment to determine diagnosis, treatment goals, and recommended frequency of sessions.

Confidentiality & Records

Your privacy is protected by law and by our professional ethics. We keep secure clinical records documenting diagnosis, treatment plan, progress notes, and billing information.

Limits to confidentiality: risk of harm to self or others, suspected child/elder abuse, court order, and certain insurance/third-party requests. You will be informed if disclosure is required.

Payments & Billing

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made. We accept major credit cards, debit, cash, and electronic payment.

We can provide superbills for potential out-of-network (OON) reimbursement (check your plan’s OON benefits).

Session payment must be paid in full before proceeding with additional services.

If you are needing support with payment or require a reduced fee, please coordinate with the practice.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. No-shows are charged the full session fee unless waived for emergencies or extraordinary circumstances.

If you are available reschedule within the week, late cancellation fees may be waived. Based on clinician availability.

Telehealth

All sessions are currently conducted via telehealth. They are governed by the same confidentiality and consent practices as in-person care.

Emergencies & After-Hours Contact

We do not provide 24/7 crisis services. If you are in immediate danger or having suicidal/homicidal thoughts, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

For urgent matters between sessions, follow the therapist’s specified emergency contact protocol.
